rory layed on her bed flipping through magazines. there was nothing to do, and she wasn't going to bug her sister. ally was probably in her room designing new clothes or something of the sort. she sighed lightly, trying just to make enough noise to break the silence that had fallen across her room. she considered turning on music or something, but decided she wasn't really in the mood. she was in more of a social mood, and listening to music wasn't really going to do a thing for her boredom.
after a few moments of laying there in silence, she sat up. the orange cat laying on her bed meowed at the movement. she yawned lightly, patting the cat as she looked around a moment as if searching for something to entertain her. she spotted her cell phone on the nightstand and quickly grabbed it. once she scrolled through her whole contact list, she decided to text tyler. she'd love to have his company, not to mention, he was fun to hang out with and she didn't have to bother cleaning her room, or looking nicer than usual. she'd known ty since they were babies. they were the kind of kids who played together in the sandbox. a few moments later she received his text saying he'd be over soon.
she set her phone back on the nightstand and then sat on her bed, looking around her room to make sure it wasn't too much of a disaster. it wasn't all that bad, and even if it was, she knew she wouldn't have cleaned it anyways. she went back to flipping through magazines while she waited for him to come, more zoning out than actually paying attention to the magazines.

I'm a war of head versus heart and it's always this way. My head is weak, my heart always speaks, Before I know what it will say.
----- Tyler stared blankly at the wall after his dad left. Since his father was currently in between wives, the house was empty except for the eighteen year old boy. Not that Ty minded, he liked having the penthouse to himself. His day had been relatively boring to say the least, and he had been too lazy to find something to do. Normally he would have called people until he found someone who could hang out, but that didn't seem like it'd be worth the effort, so he spent the day alone. He flipped through the channels on his flat screen T.V. before choosing MTV. He laid down on the couch and nearly fell asleep there, but was woken up from his pre-slumber by his iPhone that vibrated in his hand. A text from Rory made him smile and sent him getting up and heading out the door.
----- On the way out of his house, he looked at a few business emails and then decided that he was too you to be worrying about crap like statistics and he closed his inbox. He made his way to Rory's, arriving in about ten minutes or so. He let himself in and wandered to the kitchen to find her with some Chinese food. "Ello, Poppet," he said with his slight British accent before he stole an egg roll. The two had been friends since as long as he could remember, and he didn't think he'd be able to survive without her. She was the female version of himself, so they could always relate to each other. "And how are we this fine day?" he asked as he rose an eyebrow, a sarcastic tone in his voice.

in her ten or so minutes of waiting, ally had brought some chinese food and headed back off to her room. rory had hurried into the kitchen to get some food for herself. she had just pulled out an eggroll from the bag when he walked into the kitchen. she wasn't really all that surprised to see him randomly appear, she was used to him letting himself in, though she still looked up quickly when he walked in. ello poppet she chuckled at his greeting. "hello ty!" she said with a smile. something about his presence made her smile. they'd been friends forever, and just him being there could cheer her up.
'Quite well, besides the fact that her eggroll just got stolen." rory said before making a sad face at him. she looked in the bag, luckily enough there was another eggroll. she grinned and pulled it out, hopping up to sit on her counter before taking a bite of it. " so.."she began, pausing to chew the eggroll. "there's more food in the bag, if you want it."she pointed out before finishing the eggroll. "and how are you?"she asked after a moment, returning his question. their small talk was quite rare, usually they had more in-depth conversations, even if it was about random stuff.

You hold your head up to the sky and ask, what kind of blue are you? Are you? Then you ride your pony 'round & round, it's diggin' a hole right through, right through.
----- His features light up as he smiled at her normal greeting. Rory was weird to him in the way that she always greeted him with 'hello, Ty' or something of the matter. It was always 'hello' unless she was already tipsy, then it was more like 'haaayyyy Tyyyyyy'. But he didn't mind, everyone was more fun when the world was tipped 15 degrees to the right. Even though he'd never admit it to anyone, Rory was the one girl he'd slightly wanted since forever but was too stubborn to admit it. So he just flirted with her and made it seem like he was joking. He didn't think she'd caught on yet. He hoped she hadn't, anyway. That'd be disastrous. He was Tyler Payne for God's sake, he never fell for anyone. And he wasn't about to ruin that long built reputation.
----- I'm not a thief, I simply borrowed it. I'll replace it with one when we go to that hole-in-the-wall Chinese place you like so much tomorrow before we go to Club Firestone." Well, that was one way of making plans. Role it into a deal, which was pretty much how Tyler rolled. "But anyway, I'm glad you're good, since I've been a bored out of my mind mess the past two days or so." That much was true, and he sighed in self-pity as he took a pair of chopsticks and opened up a container of noodles. He manuvered the utensils smoothly, took a bite and then said, "I have no idea how you practically live of this crap you call noodles," before taking another bite. He loved to complain to her, because she always picked on him when he did, and that started the witty back and forth banter that he lived for.
